The Law of Giving

Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. - 2 Samuel 24:24

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. - Matthew 6:24

One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. - Proverbs 11:24

A law is a principle, an ethic, a doctrine. There is a force between us and the center of the Earth. Fighting a law is not good for you. You will turn into a lump of flesh. In the New Testament, we have super laws. The laws have higher standards than in the Old Testament.

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,

summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” - Genesis 8:22

We are farmers in the kingdom of God. We have to plant seeds. Seed, time, and harvest shall not seize. We must not use the Grace of God to cripple our ability to give. Instead, let's give all that we have to the Kingdom. Because there is power in giving and when we give, we also receive.

Giving is costly, so we must give at a costly rate because it touches God's heart. We can't just give coins, we must also give the best that we have of other things. We must give what's valuable to us. We have to be bold when we are giving because giving is costly.

Just like God gave his only Son and Abraham gave his only son. Remember that you are giving to God, not other people. Fear God with the way that you give. Giving is a form of worship, and We are called to plant in faith and expect uncommon miracles.

There is so much power in giving. As Christians, our assignment is to give. When we give, we receive in return. Give with your all. Don’t give the minimum, give the maximum. Giving is beneficial to you, and when you give, you should do it with the fear of God.
